Welcome to The Golfer's Lounge, we are situated inside Pot Black Sports Bar off Eastgate Street in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Created by PGA Golf Professional Andy Goodridge. Andy has been in the Golf and Leisure industry since leaving school, over40 years! The Golfer's Lounge is an indoor 4,000 sq ft golf and training centre, featuring 3 Foresight GC Hawk golf simulators all with FSX PLAY latest software, 260 sq ft practice putting green and retail area. The facility features state of the art club fitting with Foresight GC Quad and instruction programs. Our simulators allow you to practice or play on over 35 golf courses from around the world. We can accommodate golf leagues, societies, private and corporate events designed for staff and clients. Skills competitions, such as longest drive and closest to the pin competitions can be arranged. Spectators are welcome.

Andy Goodridge

PGA Golf Profesional

Andy is a fully qualified PGA golf professional and has been working in the golf and leisure industry for nearly 40 years, a Bury St Edmunds lad moving to Thorpness GC then back to Bury St Edmunds to set up the Bury Golf Range and the AG School of golf in 1992 offering clients a wealth of experience. Andy was a County Junior at the age of 15 winning the suffolk junior championship in 1983, went on to win many club events and the the Mens County Foursomes Championships with Kevin Golding, he has also represented Suffolk County Amateur and professional mens golf teams. Jay Smith

Jay is our Custom Fitting specialist. What he doesn't know about the technical side of the swing and associated equipment some say isn't worth knowing. He is available on request for Coaching and Custom Fitting and brings with him his knowledge and in depth understanding of how to interpret our most valuable coaching asset the GCQuad/Hawk (the most accurate launch monitor to date). Jay has his own established YouTube channel Ask Golf Nut- where he reviews and evaluates the very equipment you look to buy.

Paul Kent

PGA Golf Professional

Paul Kent turned professional at the age of just 17. He served his apprenticeship with renowned coach, Alex Hay at the prestigious Woburn Golf & Country Club. Paul gained his European Tour Card at the first attempt aged only 19, played tournament golf from 1983-1991 in over 100 tour events and national Opens worldwide including Africa, the Australian PGA, Open and the Australian Masters.  First time visiting The Golf Lounge for a 90 minute session with a friend and was very impressed with the whole setup. The space is very relaxed and welcoming perfect for some laid back fun, but also boasts latest technology for some high quality practice. Andy and the team were very friendly and accommodating. Strongly recommend a visit, I'll be going back soon for sure!

 First visit and made to feel very welcome straight from the off. Andy set us up with full explanation of system. I was extremely impressed with the accuracy of the simulator although putting was definitely a challenge to start with. Would highly recommend and will be returning soon

The Golfers Lounge is for golfers with their own clubs.
We do ask however that your clubfaces are clean and in good condition.
Clean Golf shoes, running shoes and closed-toe shoes are preferred. Please do not wear metal spikes or heels. We recommend that you give us a call if you have any questions or need futher clarification prior to arrival.
Yes but we cannot promise the simulators will be available but you can join the queue.
To make a reservation, you can do so by using our online booking system ,  all reservations require a full payment.
We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies. Unfortunately the system does not allow money back when cancelling but will allow you to reschedule your reservation. If you cancel or fail to attend your booking, you will loose your booking fee.
Up to four people are able to play at each simulator. However, if you have a group that is larger than four people, we’ve got you covered. We highly encourage that you pre-book two simulators next to each other. To do so, please give us a call we will be more than happy to help!

Pizzas, snacks & Licensed Bar
Depending on your skill level & experience, it takes average golfers: 1 hour to play 18 holes per player (1/2 hour to play 9 holes), 2 hours to play 18 holes for 2 golfers, 3 hours to play 18 holes for 3 golfers, 4 hours to play 18 holes for 4 golfers. This does not include any warm up on the practice range. Play can be faster or slower depending on socializing, course difficulty or handicap. Simulator time can be reserved by the hour increments with up to 4 players per simulator.
Min 30 Mins,  Max 90 days in advance.
We do offer full facility rentals for a variety of different occasions including, birthdays, corporate functions and special events.
Sunday Morning Full facility 3 Bays 4 Hours £480 12 golfers at £40 PP.

Players should arrive at least 10-15 minutes early in order to provide you with enough time to get changed and get ready for your tee time. We want all players to be able to get their round started on time.
Children under the age of 16 can use our simulators, however, we ask that they are accompanied by an adult at all times.
You can use your own golf balls as long as it is a new unmarked ball. Any marks, marker pen or cuts, can cause damage to the screens.  
We can provide the appropriate tees for use. Please do not use your own tees and try and stick them through the turf.
